Florida Everglades are being invaded by exotic animals from the pet trade.

This handsome specimen was photographed in the wild in South Africa.







Nile monitors (Varanus niloticus) hang out near permanent water. They're gifted swimmers, taking to the water when threatened and using their long muscular tails for propulsion.
